Overview In this role you will support a leading AmLaw firm's Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Practice Group on complex domestic and cross-border matters. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to handle restructurings, distressed financings, and related transactions, shaping outcomes for creditors, debtors, and sponsors. Responsibilities- Represent clients in complex in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters
- Advise creditors, debtors, and investors in distressed and special situations financings
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, restructuring support agreements, and related documents
- Support liability management transactions, recapitalizations, and distressed M&A opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, corporate, and litigation attorneys
Key requirements- JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction in good standing
- 3-7 years of substantive restructuring, bankruptcy, and/or special situations finance experience
- Familiarity with Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and liability management
- Experience representing creditors, debtors, sponsors, or financial institutions in distressed scenarios
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
