Overview In this role you advance fault-tolerant quantum computing by leading pathfinding in error correction research and decoder development. You'll collaborate across Product, Engineering and Applied Research to translate theory into scalable hardware-software solutions. The work focuses on decoding codes, co-design with quantum hardware, and building a fault-tolerant software stack. This is a chance to shape the technical backbone of NVIDIA's quantum ecosystem and accelerate progress in quantum computing.

Responsibilities- Path-find technical innovations in Quantum Error Correction and Fault Tolerance with cross-functional teams
- Develop novel decoding approaches for quantum error correction codes and logical operations, including hardware-focused implementations
- Research and co-design scalable decoders and improved methods
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enable a fault-tolerant software stack integrated with quantum hardware
- Foster a culture of collaboration, rapid innovation, technical depth, and creative problem solving
Key requirements- Masters degree inPhysics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering field or equivalent experience (Ph.D. preferred)
