Overview In this role, you will join an established NYC law firm to handle plaintiff workers' compensation, no-fault, and personal injury matters. You will support clients through hearings, depositions, and case preparation, while collaborating with attorneys and staff to move cases toward favorable resolutions. Responsibilities- Represent clients in Workers' Compensation hearings and related proceedings
- Conduct and defend depositions as required
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Handle case preparation, investigation, and documentation for Workers' Compensation, No-Fault, and Personal Injury matters
- Accurately update and maintain the firm's case management system
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to advance cases efficiently and achieve favorable outcomes
- Participate in additional litigation and client-facing responsibilities as needed across practice groups
- Manage files from intake through resolution while ensuring compliance with applicable procedural requirements
Key requirements- Admitted to practice law in New York or eligible for admission
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Early-career attorneys must demonstrate willingness to learn Workers' Compensation, No-Fault, and Personal Injury matters
- Experienced candidates should have meaningful plaintiff-side Workers' Compensation and/or Personal Injury litigation experience
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines and a busy caseload
