Overview As a Teradata-focused Information Technology professional, you will translate requirements into robust data design and solutions. You will coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders, manage timelines, and provide timely status updates while applying strong project management. You will work with Teradata across large data volumes, optimize performance, and develop SQL-based components. Excellent communication and willingness to travel support cross-team collaboration and delivery success.
Responsibilities- Elicit and analyze requirements and convert them into design
- Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders; manage timelines and escalations; provide on-time status
- Work with Teradata concepts and data modeling (logical/physical design)
- Utilize Teradata utilities (TPT, TPump, BTEQ, fastload, fast export, multiload)
- Perform performance tuning and optimization for large data volumes
- Develop SQL programs (views, stored procedures, macros, functions) per requirements and standards
- Possess Unix shell scripting skills (required)
- Maintain excellent communication via phone, email, or in-person; facilitate travel as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions
