Overview As Director Legal, Manufacturing & Procurement, you will partner with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to structure and negotiate key agreements and guide product development within Bloom Energy's global energy platform. You will lead legal support for technology, supply chain, and manufacturing initiatives, building process-driven improvements and handling pre-litigation matters. This role combines strategic advisory, contract leadership, and risk management to enable scalable deployment of Bloom Energy Servers worldwide. Responsibilities- Structure, draft, and negotiate procurement, manufacturing, and technology agreements
- Counsel internal teams on manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain matters, including joint development
- Develop and implement process improvements and manage pre-litigation issues
- Provide legal guidance on joint development, strategic sourcing, and logistics agreements
- Support product design with procurement and supply chain perspectives
- Lead negotiation with external vendors and maintain supplier relationships
- Create and update templates, position documents, and contract playbooks
- Develop direct and indirect procurement processes and provide internal training
- Manage supply-side legal operations, metrics, and contract databases
- Advise on regulatory, security, and compliance issues (anti-bribery, data privacy, CSR, trade compliance)
Key requirements- Law degree (JD/LLB) from an accredited school
- Active bar membership
- 10+ years in commercial transactions with 4+ years at a law firm
- Global procurement and manufacturing experience
- IP background and licensing experience a plus
- Patent licensing experience a plus
