Overview In this role you will lead environmental litigation and counseling within a national platform, focusing on remediation-related matters and complex disputes. You will work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., reporting to the Pittsburgh team, and leverage cross-office collaboration to support clients on CERCLA/Superfund, RCRA, and related cost-recovery issues. You'll handle all phases of litigation and contribute to business development while guiding clients through investigations, settlements, and compliance. This role offers meaningful impact by shaping environmental strategy for clients and expanding Dentons' environmental practice.

Responsibilities- Handle all phases of environmental litigation: pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs; document review; depositions; hearings, mediations, trials
- Advise on remediation of contaminated sites: investigation oversight, cleanup, consent orders/decrees, cost allocation among PRPs, insurance recovery
- Provide environmental compliance counseling and support incident/emergency response
- Collaborate with Dentons' national and global platform
- Contribute to business development and client relationship efforts
Key requirements- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active California bar in good standing; additional bar admissions a plus
- Significant experience in environmental litigation, with preference for remediation, CERCLA/Superfund, state programs, RCRA, and related actions
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills; ability to produce clear, concise, persuasive work
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple matters remotely and coordinate with the Pittsburgh team
