Overview

In this role you will ensure contractor compliance with contracts and policies, manage bid and procurement processes, and monitor performance to enable strategic supplier decisions. You will support RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor setup while coordinating cross-functional requirements. Based in San Jose, this on-site position emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering cost-effective, compliant construction services in a fast-paced energy transition context. You will help shape how Bloom partners with contractors to scale reliable, sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain contractor compliance checklists and documentation
  • Assess and qualify construction service providers based on quality, cost, and reliability
  • Collect and present performance metrics to inform vendor strategy
  • Catalogue and monitor compliance data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist in bid processes: draft RFPs, analyze scope/schedule/cost, and negotiate terms
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and regulations
  • Coordinate cross-functional input to meet technical, business, commercial, and legal requirements
  • Support end-to-end contracting process from RFP through execution
  • Support change management, contract closeout, and escalation resolution
  • Assist with vendor setup, purchase orders, expediting payments, and change management
  • Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and process enhancements
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
  • 5 years of relevant procurement and construction experience
  • Knowledge of construction planning, methods, cost control, and safety
  • Strong communication and customer service orientation
  • Interpersonal skills to work with all organizational levels and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of construction contracts
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Highly motivated
