Overview

In this role you will lead strategic contracting for OFE, shaping large, complex LNG and power agreements with major manufacturers and contractors. You will manage contract administration, mentor a team, and coordinate with subject matter experts to define risk, taxes, and control strategies. You'll oversee change orders, claims, and closeout, ensuring documents are properly captured in the CLM system. This is a high-impact position that supports Venture Global's LNG projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, redline, and negotiate complex strategic agreements with leading sellers and contractors, in coordination with legal counsel and the OFE team
  • Manage contract administration for assigned business units
  • Lead and mentor contract administration professionals
  • Define contracting, risk management, controls, and taxes strategies with SMEs for all assigned OFE agreements
  • Oversee change orders, task orders, amendments, and related negotiations and administration
  • Oversee new change order requests: scope, price, schedule, amendments, and CLM entries
  • Support claims strategies related to defects, warranty, and acceptance
  • Draft official project notifications and responses with technical and commercial experts, legal, and senior management
  • Ensure compliance with CLM upload requirements and DOA approvals with Sourcing and Procurement
  • Advise project teams on contractual questions through analyses and checklists
  • Coordinate project acceptance and closeout per contractual requirements
  • Maintain contract documentation repositories and track activity in logs
  • Attend internal/ external meetings and project progress reviews
  • Support other contract administration tasks as directed by the OFE Contracts Director
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in contract management and negotiation in LNG or power industries
  • Proven ability to draft, redline, and lead complex strategic agreements
  • Experience managing and mentoring contract management teams
  • Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, writing, and attention-to-detail abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Ability to manage confidential information and meet deadlines
