Overview Senior Construction Manager leads complex pipeline construction projects in the Houston area, guiding cross-functional teams from preconstruction to closeout. You will manage field activities, coordinate owners, contractors, and design teams, and drive project delivery while maintaining strong client relationships. The role includes observing construction, handling changes, and mentoring staff, with a focus on delivering safe, high quality infrastructure on time and within budget. This is a client facing, hands on leadership position within our Houston/Pearland office, with travel to sites.

Responsibilities- Lead construction management for large, complex pipeline projects as project manager or technical lead
- Oversee construction observation, material sampling/testing, quantity measurement, and resolution of nonconforming work
- Review contractor work for contract compliance; coordinate RFIs, submittals, and design interpretations
- Manage change orders, schedules, claims, pay requests, meetings, and project closeout
- Facilitate pre-bid, preconstruction, and construction meetings; maintain clear communications among owners, contractors, and project teams
- Advise clients on construction needs, risks, and delivery decisions while fostering long-term relationships
- Lead and develop staff through planning, coaching, and day-to-day direction
- Support business development, teaming, and risk management for construction projects
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 15+ years of relevant construction experience as a construction manager or superintendent
- Proficiency with project management information systems and ability to mentor others in their use
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of alternative project delivery methods
- Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, CCM certification, and CCCA certification
- Experience leading construction management for large-diameter pipeline projects
