Overview As Senior Estimator at Ferrovial/Webber, you will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges and tunnels. You will collaborate with PMs, engineers, and suppliers to shape bid proposals and budgets. Your work supports project delivery by identifying risks, optimizing unit costs, and maintaining historical data. This role combines technical estimating with cross-functional teamwork to drive winning bids and project success.

Responsibilities- Analyze plans, specs, and documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements
- Perform site visits to gather data for estimation
- Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data and unit prices
- Prepare and present cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
- Identify risks and opportunities in estimates and recommend mitigations
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
- Monitor project costs to ensure adherence to budget
- Stay updated on industry trends and construction technology

Key requirements- Bachelor in Civil Engineering
- 7-10 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, PlanSwift)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
