Overview

As Construction Superintendent - Mechanical/Piping, you lead on-site planning and execution for complex facilities in Guaynabo, ensuring timely delivery, safety, and quality. You coordinate materials, equipment, and crews, while guiding contractors and design teams. You drive risk-aware scheduling and budget stewardship to keep projects on track. You'll collaborate across design, construction, and commissioning to realize scalable, safe, and compliant outcomes in Life Sciences or related domains. This role offers hands-on leadership with a clear impact on project success and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily scheduling and planning at the project site
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and personnel to meet construction goals
  • Review and assist with M/E/P scopes of work from bid through execution
  • Manage project schedule and scope budgets
  • Lead client and construction meetings and coordinate walkdowns
  • Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site
  • Participate in turnover processes including TOPs and punch lists
  • Facilitate constructability reviews and safety approvals (JHA, permits)
  • Coordinate activities with owners, designers, and contractors
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of construction site experience (preferred)
  • Experience with hygienic and non-hygienic piping (preferred)
  • Experience leading contractors and superintendents on scope, engineering information, and drawings
  • Working knowledge of pre-design/pre-construction, building systems, contract management, and project delivery methods
  • Ability to review M/E/P scopes from initial Bid Phase
  • Experience managing project scopes and budgets
  • Experience with project scheduling
  • OSHA 30 certification (implied by context)
  • Pharma/Life Sciences project experience (preferred)
