Overview In this role you will lead data science and analytics initiatives to support Hyundai North America Safety Office and Quality & Service Engineering. You'll drive ML, NLP, and AI-driven solutions, oversee data engineering and global data integration, and shape roadmaps with senior executives. You'll manage vendor relationships, build business cases, and accelerate time-to-market for safety and quality analytics. This is a strategic leadership position focused on impactful, cross-functional analytics at scale.

Responsibilities- Own and prioritise the Safety Analytics & Quality product roadmap and backlogs
- Collaborate with Safety Office and Quality teams to translate needs into analytics solutions
- Apply ML, NLP, and large language models to text data for insights
- Pre-process, analyze large datasets and build end-to-end data pipelines
- Develop and monitor ML models, document procedures, and ensure model performance
- Present findings to leadership and justify funding with ROI analyses
- Manage vendor relationships and project delivery with technology partners
- Coach and develop staff and manage resources, budgets, and timelines
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Eight+ years of analytical experience
- Two+ years of supervisory experience (preferred)
- Hands-on experience building ML models
- Four+ years SQL experience (data aggregation/manipulation)
- Four+ years Python experience
- Two+ years Hadoop experience (plus)
- Automotive industry experience (plus)
- Experience managing IT and analytics projects
