Responsibilities- Litigate environmental and toxic tort matters, including CERCLA/RCRA, Endangered Species, and Land Use issues
- Defend agencies and counsel clients on regulatory compliance in corporate transactions
- Conduct environmental diligence for corporate transactions
- Draft briefs, correspondence, and discovery responses; prepare and support depositions and oral arguments
- Lead and manage discovery processes and coordination with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with experts to structure complex trial testimony and present persuasive cases to judges and juries
Key requirements- Strong background in environmental/toxic tort litigation
- Experience with agency enforcement defense and regulatory compliance counseling
- Knowledge of federal/state environmental statutes (CERCLA and Prop 65)
- Drafting and managing briefs, discovery, depositions, and oral arguments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong case management; team-oriented attitude
- Admitted to the state bar in which practicing or eligible to waive in
