Overview

In this senior, client-facing role you drive core project management across a large healthcare capital program. You will lead an integrated PM team and coordinate with owner staff to shape delivery strategy from planning through turnover. Your deep healthcare experience and focus on regulatory compliance will guide risk and value decisions. This position offers a meaningful chance to influence major institutional developments and shape project outcomes through Lean and best-value methods.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary client representative and point of contact
  • Lead and coordinate the consultant project management team
  • Coordinate with owner staff and stakeholders
  • Provide strategic advisory on delivery, risk, and procurement
  • Support scope, budget, and delivery strategy development
  • Oversee design development for regulatory compliance and constructability
  • Facilitate value engineering and risk mitigation
  • Provide executive oversight of cost controls, change management, and forecasting
  • Monitor schedule performance and risk; ensure QA protocols
  • Oversee closeout, documentation turnover, and warranty administration
Key requirements
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in project and construction management
  • Demonstrated leadership of large capital projects exceeding $100M construction value
  • Direct experience delivering licensed healthcare facilities (ambulatory, medical office, or acute care environments preferred)
  • Experience with Progressive Design-Build and traditional Design-Build delivery methods
  • Experience managing fast-track, multi-phase construction programs
  • Working knowledge of California Public Contract Code and public-sector procurement processes
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory authorities (e.g., state-level health facility oversight agencies)
  • Strong understanding of California Building Code, ADA, fire and life-safety standards, CEQA (preferred)
