Overview As Region HR Manager, you will lead human resources across a multi-facility manufacturing region in Medford, OR, with 20% travel. You'll drive talent development, compensation, and policy administration to support 700-1,160 employees across 4-8 facilities. A key focus will be labor relations and safety programs to sustain union-free operations and ensure regulatory compliance. You will work with regional leadership to close organizational gaps and implement high-impact HR initiatives. This is an opportunity to shape regional HR strategy within a manufacturing environment and partner across functions to enable high-performance teams.
Responsibilities- Identify and address organizational gaps with regional management
- Lead recruiting, development, compensation, and retention efforts
- Manage labor relations including negotiations, arbitration, grievance resolution, and contract interpretation
- Support union-free objectives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EEO, Affirmative Action, and other employment laws
- Develop and maintain regional communication strategy and external community engagement
- Direct safety and workers' compensation programs
- Oversee HR activities for 4-8 facilities and employees
- Supervise region HR staff (4-9 FTE)
- Represent the organization to government and legal audiences
Key requirements- College degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of broad HR Generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of safety management and OSHA regulations
- Experience in selection, development, compensation, employee relations, and organizational planning
- Proven ability to lead organizational change
- Experience in labor relations; preferred if in unionized operations
- Manufacturing field experience preferred
- Ability to interact with diverse audiences at all levels
