Overview In this role you will manage day-to-day legal work for Richemont's Americas region within the Group Legal Team, ensuring high-quality, timely guidance to internal clients. You'll handle a broad portfolio of commercial transactions and mentor junior lawyers, navigating a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment. You'll contribute to the Corporate Affairs vision, employing sound legal judgment and building trusted relationships across the company. Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and vendor agreements across all business functions, including marketing, advertising, events, software, technology and digital, facilities and logistics, security, ESG initiatives, and retail/e-commerce
- Monitor emerging legal and regulatory developments (AI, ESG, digital commerce) and advise on contractual risks
- Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and data privacy teams on technology reviews, data security assessments, and privacy impact evaluations
- Provide proactive strategic legal counsel to internal clients and cross-functional teams to mitigate complex risks
- Support litigation and regulatory matters tied to contracts and commercial disputes
- Develop and maintain legal tools, templates, playbooks, and training materials; lead training sessions
- Advocate Richemont's values and contribute to knowledge management and legal technology initiatives
- Coordinate with outside counsel and manage relationships effectively
- Collaborate with the broader Group Legal team to support corporate governance and compliance initiatives
Key requirements- J.D. from a leading law school
- Bar admission in at least one state (NY strongly preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of commercial transactional experience in fast-paced multi-jurisdictional environments in the Americas
- Proven expertise in complex commercial contracts and strategic counseling across diverse functions
- Experience in retail or consumer products preferred
- Experience with e-commerce, digital platforms, data privacy, and technology transactions preferred
- Strong business acumen and ability to partner with senior leaders
- Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet deadlines in a matrixed environment
- Experience with AI use and prompting preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with shared work/project tools
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
