Overview In this role you will manage a diverse litigation caseload in Bloomfield Hills, focusing on transportation-related matters. You will drive case strategy, legal analysis, and persuasive advocacy from discovery through deposition and motion practice. You will work with cross-functional teams to progress matters efficiently and strategically. You will represent clients in hearings and develop evidence and testimony aligned with overall case strategy.
Responsibilities- Manage litigation files from initial evaluation through resolution with strategic progression
- Conduct legal research and convert findings into persuasive motions and briefs
- Take and defend depositions and develop testimony supporting case strategy
- Handle discovery activities: draft requests, review responses, identify evidentiary issues
- Represent clients in hearings and court appearances with clear oral advocacy
- Assess claims across commercial disputes, premises liability, transportation matters, negligence, property damage, construction issues, and personal injury
- Review medical documentation and records to evaluate damages, liability, and exposure
- Apply Michigan court rules, evidentiary standards, and federal civil procedure in daily case handling
Key requirements- Experience in litigation and ability to manage cases independently
- Strong courtroom presence and excellent writing skills
