Overview In this role you will manage complex plaintiff-side personal injury and medical malpractice matters from intake to trial in a NYC setting. You will work within the legal team to deliver compassionate, effective representation while handling all litigation phases. You will build case strategies, conduct research, and advocate for clients through settlements or trials. This is a client-focused opportunity to shape outcomes in high-stakes cases and collaborate with support staff to maintain strong communication with clients.

Responsibilities- Manage all phases of PI and medical malpractice cases from intake to resolution
- Perform legal research, draft pleadings, discovery demands/responses, motions and other documents
- Take and defend depositions, including expert witness depositions
- Appear in court for conferences, oral arguments, hearings, and trials
- Evaluate case merits and develop strategies
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients
- Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff
- Maintain strong client communication and provide regular case updates
Key requirements- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar (additional admissions a plus)
- 5+ years of experience litigating plaintiff-side PI and/or medical malpractice
- Trial experience strongly preferred
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
- Ability to handle a heavy caseload in a fast-paced environment
