Overview As Chief Medical Physicist, you will lead the radiation therapy program across five Wisconsin sites from our Wausau hub. You will shape program development, ensure safety and quality, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of physicists, dosimetrists, and therapists. The role combines technical leadership with cross-site collaboration and outreach coverage. You will drive QA, equipment upgrades, and installations to maintain high standards of care. Responsibilities- Lead development, implementation, and oversight of radiation therapy programs across five Wisconsin sites
- Collaborate daily with physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and oncologists
- Travel to outreach locations for coverage and support
- Oversee QA, equipment calibration, upgrades, and installations
- Serve as primary contact for dosimetry support, equipment issues, and safety oversight
Key requirements- Master in medical or radiological physics from an AAPM-accredited institution or PhD (preferred)
- Knowledge of Varian TrueBeam/Tomotherapy linear accelerators and Pinnacle TPS
- ABR or ABMP certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics
- Seven or more years of experience as a medical physicist
- Experience running projects, overseeing installations, and mentoring physicists
