Overview In this role you will lead water and wastewater projects for a southeastern Michigan mechanical contractor with 60+ years of service. You will manage project scope, schedules, and budgets, while coordinating owners, contractors, and vendors. You'll review drawings, shop data, and changes to keep projects on track and compliant. You will mentor field teams and ensure timely issue resolution. This position offers meaningful impact in civic infrastructure and growth within a seasoned team.
Responsibilities- Review vendor data and shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs
- Maintain logs for shop drawings, procurement, RFIs, RFQs, change orders
- Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets
- Supervise/manage employees, subcontractors, and vendors
- Coordinate project work across teams
- Maintain relationships with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors
- Identify project issues in a timely manner
- Review drawings and specs with project team and flag concerns
Key requirements- 5+ years of experience as a project manager within water/wastewater
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organization and time management
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow through
- Ability to read and understand plans, specs, and schedules
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and respond to client requests
