Overview

In this role you drive regional fundraising and build transformational partnerships with high-capacity donors to advance the Red Cross mission. You will shape and execute a donor engagement strategy for Michigan, managing major gifts and cultivating long-term partnerships. You'll lead cross-functional collaboration with leadership, volunteers, and Gift Planning staff to secure complex solicitations. This position offers meaningful impact in disaster relief fundraising and donor stewardship within a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a regional donor strategy to qualify, cultivate, and steward high-capacity donors
  • Manage a portfolio of major and principal-level donors, securing six- or seven-figure gifts
  • Identify and build a pipeline of donors for transformational philanthropy
  • Mentor less-experienced colleagues in donor retention and relationship management
  • Achieve annual fundraising goals with donor plans, including face-to-face meetings and customized engagement materials
  • Maintain donor data in Salesforce and regional/district databases and update records
  • Collaborate with leadership, volunteers, and Gift Planning to identify giving prospects
  • Lead women's philanthropy initiatives (Tiffany Circle Society) and participate in disaster relief fundraising
  • Recruit and develop field staff and volunteers
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of fundraising or sales experience
  • Proven success with complex donor solicitations and retention strategies
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience with donor databases ( Raiser's Edge) and MS Office
  • Ability to work in a team and travel frequently within the Wisconsin region
