Overview

In this role you bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver the NC DMV modernization program. You analyze capabilities, processes and information flows, shaping future-state architectures and ensuring alignment with technical solutions. You drive workshops, requirements, gap analyses and change management to support the MAX solution. You partner with cross-functional teams to enable successful transformation and measurable business outcomes. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence government modernization at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Lead business process analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with business and technical teams
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, and models
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution recommendations
  • Conduct gap analyses and assess impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test planning, execution support, defect tracking, and validation
  • Assess stakeholder impacts and support organizational change initiatives
  • Define and document business architecture components (capabilities, information flows, roles, processes)
  • Provide strategic recommendations on business transformation and modernization
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Architect or related role
  • Strong experience with business process mapping, requirements elicitation, documentation, and gap analysis
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and cross-IT collaboration
  • Knowledge of UAT methodologies and coordination
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience translating business needs into functional and operational requirements
  • Knowledge of the ADOT MVD MAX Solution
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • experience with DMV, transportation, government, or public-sector modernization (preferred)
  • CBAP/CCBA/PMI-PBA or similar certification preferred (preferred)
