Overview

In this role you provide expert building envelope consulting to local and national clients, serving as the primary client contact on projects for new and existing structures. You will focus on design, evaluation, and consulting for waterproofing, plazas, exterior walls, fenestration, and roofing. Working with a local director, you will conduct condition assessments, investigations, design, peer reviews, bid phase services, and construction administration. You'll collaborate on impactful projects and act as a trusted technical resource while driving project quality and client relationships. This is an opportunity to shape building performance and energy efficiency for diverse buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations of the building envelope and compile reports with observations and repair recommendations
  • Assess conditions, develop repair schemes, and provide cost estimates
  • Produce construction documents for building envelope projects
  • Support peer/office reviews and participate in progress reviews
  • Perform construction administration tasks including RFI/review, site visits, and punch lists
  • Meet with architects, contractors, and clients to discuss findings and designs
  • Monitor project budget and schedule and address discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of building envelope and waterproofing experience
  • Licensed Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE); BEC certifications are a plus
  • Strong knowledge of exterior systems and materials
  • Experience with both new construction and evaluation of existing structures
  • Familiarity with ASTM & AAMA standards and field testing
  • Ability to supervise staff and external consultants
  • Ability to manage client relationships and pursue future work
  • Collaborative, client-focused mindset and interest in business development
  • Ability to compile strong RFQ/RFP responses
