Overview In this role you will perform and oversee routine and specialized laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis and treatment. You'll ensure accuracy through quality control, calibrate and maintain instrumentation, and handle data entry with confidentiality. You will contribute to compliance and safety standards while supporting performance improvement and inventory management. Responsibilities- perform routine and specialized laboratory testing within established timeframes
- conduct quality control and instrument maintenance; troubleshoot and document corrective actions
- calibrate, maintain, and monitor analytical equipment
- perform phlebotomy as appropriate
- ensure regulatory compliance and proficiency testing standards
- analyze data and support performance improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts
- manage supply and reagent inventory
- maintain patient privacy and adapt communications to patients and care teams
Key requirements- Bachelor in Medical Technology or related science
- Current Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license or eligibility within 180 days
- ASCP, AMT or AAB generalist certification within 90 days; discipline-specific certification if applicable
