Manager, Philanthropy Communications (Bilingual Spanish Preferred)

Overview

In this role you will shape and amplify The Wonderful Company's philanthropy story across the US and globally. You will work closely with the Philanthropy and Corporate Communications teams to raise awareness of key initiatives like Wonderful Neighbor and Wonderful Giving. You will produce a range of communications assets and manage philanthropic content across websites and materials. You will seek high-impact media opportunities and coordinate cross-functional efforts to reflect the company's mission and values. This is a chance to drive social impact storytelling at scale and engage leaders, partners, and communities in meaningful initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Create and execute strategic communications plans to raise visibility of philanthropy globally
  • Coordinate internal communications around initiatives like Wonderful Neighbor and Wonderful Giving
  • Produce press releases, remarks, presentations, talking points, briefing documents, and other assets
  • Manage content for CSR website and CSR Field Guide
  • Identify strategic earned media placements and opportunities for executives speaking engagements
  • Plan and logistics support for major philanthropic gift announcements with partner organizations
  • Collaborate with Fiji-based and Mexico philanthropy teams to develop assets for communications
  • Work cross-functionally with philanthropy, events, proofreading, and legal teams to ensure alignment with mission and values
Key requirements
  • 6-8 years in communications or public relations
  • Non-profit or philanthropic sector experience preferred
  • Spanish language ability preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with AP style and PR tools (Cision, SignalAI, PR Newswire)
  • Ability to create engaging PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Discretion with confidential material
  • Social media content creation for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram
  • Travel to California Central Valley up to 20%
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English, or related field
