Overview In this role you will lead the procurement interface between the Major Projects Team and subcontractor network to build accurate installation cost models for low voltage projects. You will shape subcontractor strategy, quote sourcing, and bid leveling, coordinating with sales, operations, and procurement to win projects efficiently. You'll optimize cost, contract management, and supplier relationships while ensuring DOA and BOS compliance. Responsibilities- Partner with Sales during project development to own Subcon Installation pricing and determine Subcon strategy
- Develop baseline Subcon Installation Pricing using estimating tools for projects up to $10M+
- Source 3rd party subcontractor quotes and manage bid leveling
- Review customer documents to ensure contract provisions for subcontractors
- Host and review RFPs; maintain supplier relationships and internal customer alignment
- Ensure procurement activities comply with BOS procedures and DOA requirements
- Coordinate with branch offices and Operations/Installation teams to optimize procurement and communication
Key requirements- Minimum 5 years Estimating experience in electrical industry or equivalent (Journeyman Electrician, Electrician, Estimator, Technician)
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Construction/Low Voltage procurement experience with cost analysis and financial acumen
- Experience with estimating software (Procore, McCormick, Archdesk, Accubid, Bluebeam)
- Ability to take-offs to establish BOM and ROM for project installation requirements
