Assistant Manager

In this role you will build and lead a sales-focused team to exceed store targets while delivering exceptional customer service. You work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth store and warehouse operations, and you guide customers through product knowledge, installation basics, and delivery updates. You shape store culture by modeling professional standards, scheduling, and inventory discipline. • Build and develop a well-rounded sales team of Associates
• Coach and train employees on policies, procedures, and duties
• Proactively greet customers and cultivate lasting relationships
• Sell tile and related products to exceed customer expectations
• Learn store and warehouse operations and lead by example to hit sales goals
• Understand installation processes to educate customers
• Track and report on store sales goals
• Provide customers with delivery status updates
• Maintain professional standards to protect The Tile Shop brand
• Develop schedules for Associates and Warehouse Personnel
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• Apply sound business practices at all times
• Other duties as assigned

• 1+ years of experience in retail management
• Previous sales experience
• Proven ability to build, develop, and motivate a sales team
• Strong work ethic with a drive to exceed expectations
• Able to work in a fast-paced, commission-based environment
• Open to learning and growing from feedback
• Lead with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Sense of design (combining styles, colors, textures)
• Basic mathematical and computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Previous experience in a related field preferred
