Overview

In this remote Commercial Counsel role you will act as a strategic legal partner to internal stakeholders, enabling business growth while managing risk in a global, fast-paced setting. You provide practical guidance on commercial transactions and cross-functional initiatives, shaping scalable processes and contract standards. You work with multiple teams to support international operations and ensure compliant, business-friendly outcomes. This role combines legal expertise with a business-oriented mindset to drive value.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (supply, manufacturing, customer and vendor contracts, NDAs, technology/IP agreements, strategic partnerships)
  • Provide proactive legal counsel on transactions, risk mitigation, and regulatory considerations
  • Partner with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Finance, HR, and Product to support strategic initiatives
  • Support global operations and cross-border transactions
  • Develop scalable legal processes, templates, contract playbooks, and best practices
  • Assist with legal review of operational and compliance initiatives across regions
  • Coordinate outside counsel for specialized matters
  • Monitor changes in laws and industry developments affecting the business
Key requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in good standing
  • 6+ years of legal experience (preferably law firm and in-house)
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Practical, solutions-oriented legal advice in a dynamic business environment
  • Experience in technology, manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial sectors preferred
  • Familiarity with IP, software licensing, privacy, and data protection desirable
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
