Overview

As Quality Lead, you ensure consistent quality across construction activities in ACCIONA's Canadian projects. You supervise and mentor Quality Control Coordinators, coordinating inspections, tests, and documentation to meet project specifications. You collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to uphold quality plans and contractual requirements. You drive continuous improvement, audits, and training to foster a strong quality culture on site. This role offers impact through safeguarding construction quality and supporting sustainable infrastructure delivery in Ontario.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor Quality Control Coordinators; assign and monitor daily QC tasks
  • Oversee field inspections, material testing, and quality checks ensuring compliance with specs
  • Review inspection reports and Non-Conformance Reports before submission to Construction Quality Control Manager
  • Maintain documentation and traceability of inspections and test results
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party inspectors on quality plans and requirements
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the Construction Quality Management Plan components
  • Collaborate with construction teams to resolve Non-Conformances promptly
  • Monitor adherence to Inspection and Test Plans, specs, and quality procedures
  • Conduct quality briefings and training to promote quality culture
  • Participate in kick-off/pre-activity meetings to ensure understanding of quality requirements
  • Support audits, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead internal quality audits and assist with external audit readiness
Key requirements
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality management systems and standards
  • Deep understanding of Inspection and Test Plans, Non-Conformance Reports, and Material Approval Processes
  • Familiarity with industry codes and regulations
  • Proficiency in reviewing drawings and technical submittals
  • Experience with quality documentation systems and construction management software
  • Ability to identify quality risks and implement corrective actions
  • Experience developing and monitoring Quality Control Plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting and stakeholder engagement
