Overview In this role you will lead research and development of control systems for space and directed energy missions. You will guide a multidisciplinary team in architecture, design, and field testing of advanced control algorithms and software. You'll work on wavefront control, adaptive optics, and jitter/beamwalk control, contributing to mission-critical project goals. You will mentor others, communicate findings, and collaborate across teams to advance technologies in a demanding, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities- Design and implement control system architectures for spacecraft, missiles, and directed energy missions
- Lead and manage technically challenging activities from concept to field testing
- Mentor team members and foster collaboration in a multi-disciplinary setting
- Conduct research and develop theories to advance control technologies
- Coordinate laboratory and test-bed development and experiments
Key requirements- Degree in physics or related engineering field
- Experience with control system design and analysis for spacecraft, missiles, or directed energy systems
- Experience with laboratory environments and test-bed development
- Leadership experience in a technical or team-lead role
- Fluency with MATLAB and/or Simulink
- Software and Lab programming (e.g. LabVIEW, C/C++ or similar)
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain TS clearance
