Overview

As a Construction Project Manager, you will lead McCarthy's field teams to drive project performance and safety. You'll coordinate with the project manager and subcontractors, maintain schedules and budgets, and ensure quality and compliance with contract documents. You will shape site logistics, documentation, and control processes to deliver projects on time and within budget. This role offers hands-on leadership in a collaborative, safety driven environment with exposure to large-scale commercial and healthcare projects.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage field teams to optimize performance
  • Communicate, report, and resolve issues with the project manager
  • Chair weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Assist in developing Chart of Accounts
  • Assist in developing and managing a detailed CPM Schedule
  • Assist in developing Detailed Scope of Work
  • Develop a project site logistics plan
  • Maintain understanding of contract documents
  • Review budgets and negotiate purchase orders
  • Review budgets and negotiate rental rates
  • Monitor project costs and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Provide leadership in quality processes
  • Provide leadership in safety and accident prevention programs
  • Document daily construction activities
  • Issue and maintain short-term schedules
  • Assist Engineers with Shop Drawing and Submittal process
  • Verify As-Built drawings are current
  • Assist Estimating in bidding opportunities and Preconstruction services
  • Implement applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Construction Management
  • 7-10 years of applicable field leadership experience
  • Experience with large-scale commercial, healthcare, education or industrial projects
  • Extensive experience directing and coordinating trades
  • Strong relationships with subcontractors, architects and owners
  • Knowledge of construction principles/practices
  • Self-perform construction management experience preferred
  • Experience collaborating with Project Management to ensure successful completion
  • Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, and motivational skills
