Overview In this role you will execute store construction projects (new, expansion, remodel, and fuel-related work) under senior guidance. You will serve as the company's on-site representative, delivering timely updates to contractors and vendors while safeguarding scope, budget, and schedule. You will model the company's core values and drive safe, compliant, and cost-effective project delivery at scale. This position offers impact across multi-site capital initiatives and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities- Plan and manage store construction projects to meet scope, budget, and deadlines
- Coordinate procurement, scheduling, and site activities with contractors and vendors
- Ensure adherence to architectural plans, specifications, and safety/quality standards
- Prepare documentation, records, and ROI analyses for capital investments
- Oversee change orders to minimize cost and manage approvals before commitments
- Monitor compliance with SWPPP, OSHA regulations, and capital management practices across projects
- Lead, train, and coach team members; communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Key requirements- Ability to read and understand construction documents
- Ability to lead retail management and contractors on moderately difficult to difficult projects
- Budgeting and organization of orders for projects
- 1-3 years (L7) or 3-6 years (L8) of construction management experience or related area
- Experience with equipment purchasing software and construction project management tools (L7/8)
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Proven supervisory/leadership, conflict management and negotiation skills (L8)
- Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and external vendors (L7/8)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to travel independently (50%)
- Plan, organize and manage resources for cost-effective projects within scope and budget
- Prepare timely requisitions for major equipment and supplies
- Coordinate remodel activities to minimize sales and EBITDA loss
- Coordinate and verify documentation and compliance of SWPPP, OSHA regulations, contracts and capital management practices
