Overview As Project Superintendent at Christman, you drive on-site leadership to ensure safety, quality, and progress on commercial projects. You will review plans for constructability, coordinate trade work, and manage site logistics and communications with clients and contractors. Your role blends safety leadership with proactive project planning to meet schedule and budget goals. This is a hands-on position within a nationally recognized, employee-owned contractor that values owners and partners. Responsibilities- Represent Christman on site daily by setting expectations and commitments
- Review design documents for constructability, phasing, and site logistics; recommend construction options
- Establish site safety, quality, housekeeping, and conduct standards
- Develop and communicate site-specific safety programs and hazard mitigation plans
- Coordinate site logistics, traffic, equipment, and storage
- Partner with Project Manager, client, and trades to develop and execute a work plan
- Plan and coordinate timely initiation and completion of trade work per schedule
- Oversee interpretation of drawings and recommend methods/equipment consistent with specs
- Discuss quality expectations with trade foremen; arrange pre-installation coordination meetings
- Arrange timely permitting and inspections; manage submittals for dimensional control
- Maintain rolling punch list and ensure final quality; verify trade contractor timesheets for extras
- Authorize purchase requisitions with PM/Executive/Director for safety and startup
- Prepare thorough daily progress reports including weather, safety, violations, and incidents
- Compile contractor performance evaluations for trade partners
Key requirements- Bachelor in Construction Management
- Minimum five years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role
- Completed training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication or equivalent
- Ability to manage plans, recognize safety concerns, and promote a safe culture
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to engage diverse stakeholders
