Overview In this role you will lead multi-million dollar public and private civil construction projects, ensuring financial performance and alignment with Graniterock's values. You'll drive project planning, scheduling, and risk management while mentoring team members and upholding safety standards. You will collaborate with estimating, customers, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities- Oversee overall project direction, completion, and financial outcomes for civil construction projects up to $15M
- Monitor cost reports and forecasts; lead team to mitigate risks and achieve financial goals
- Manage day-to-day project operations including scheduling, quantity take-offs, and material orders
- Lead talent development and accountability within the project team
- Ensure compliance with all contract documents; manage changed conditions and added work impacts
- Handle administrative tasks such as time cards, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and documentation
- Represent the company in client meetings and maintain constructive stakeholder relationships
- Coordinate with estimating to develop accurate bids and ensure alignment with project goals
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field or extensive project management experience
- 5+ years progressive project experience in civil construction
- Knowledge of paving, underground, concrete and grading practices
- Understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues
- Ability to work in a high production environment
- Demonstrated decision-making and leadership abilities
