You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align lab activities with organizational goals and regulatory standards. You will shape training, quality programs, and staffing to support ongoing performance and growth. Responsibilities- Plan, assign and direct laboratory work; coordinate with other areas as needed
- Mentor and develop staff; identify training and supervisory skill gaps
- Define, monitor quality assurance programs; ensure QC reports are current
- Oversee inspections preparation and adherence to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA requirements
- Manage staffing, hiring, training, and performance evaluation
- Develop annual budget; manage costs and resources to stay within budget
- Coordinate R&D activities related to operations and participate in committees
- Review test performance and drive process improvements; manage test database and SOPs
- Oversee EHS programs and safety coordination; ensure regulatory standards are met
- Maintain safe, functional, sanitary lab environments and equipment
Key requirements- Minimum of eight (8) years laboratory experience with at least four (4) years direct supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory
- Licensed as California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CA Only)
- ASCP Certification (Preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field; Master's Degree (Preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Systems
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to handle confidential information
