Overview

In this role you will contribute to a premier Government Contracts & National Security practice, tackling high-stakes matters across litigation, investigations, and regulatory counseling. You will support clients in aerospace, defense, and tech sectors, addressing bid protests, federal funding issues, and national security concerns. You will work with cross-functional teams to manage complex regulatory and transactional challenges, shaping outcomes for leading organizations. Compensation / Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Handle government contracts matters including bid protests, litigation, and investigations
  • Advise on compliance with federal procurement regulations, grant requirements, and national security laws
  • Support transactional work involving government contractors (M&A due diligence, regulatory approvals)
  • Negotiate complex government agreements (OTAs, CRADAs, TIAs)
  • Counsel on federal funding programs and compliance with statutes like IRA and CHIPS Act
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address regulatory, transactional, and enforcement risks
Key requirements
  • 3+ years of substantive government contracts experience
  • Active DC bar in good standing
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience or interest in government contracts litigation, investigations, or regulatory counseling
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or government contractor transactions a plus
  • Judicial clerkship with Federal Circuit or Court of Federal Claims valued
  • Academic training in government contracts a plus
  • Large law firm experience preferred
