Overview In this Senior Estimating Manager role at Harris, you will plan, coordinate, and supervise the estimating program to support corporate objectives. You will develop and improve the department's protocols, policies, databases, and metrics, and shape the overall strategy. You will lead estimation activities with suppliers and internal teams, drive pre-bid strategy, and ensure accurate final estimates. You will mentor the estimating team, uphold a strong safety culture, and cultivate long-term client relationships. This position offers exposure to diverse projects across regional locations, from stadiums to hospitals, enabling meaningful impact.

Responsibilities- Oversee estimation processes and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Oversee and/or perform estimates using estimating software
- Lead pre-bid strategy meetings and bid management activities
- Develop and implement department protocols, policies, and KPIs
- Administer and upgrade estimation tools (Q-pen system)
- Recruit, train, and mentor the estimating team
- Collaborate with project management to determine bid strategies and project selection
- Support contract negotiations, change orders, and turnover processes
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships and partnerships
Key requirements- 10+ years of Mechanical HVAC and Piping estimating experience
- 10+ years of knowledge of objectives affecting estimating and contracts
- 10+ years using Trimble for estimations and takeoffs
- 5+ years leading, coaching, mentoring an estimating team
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
