Overview In this role you will lead cost management and cost accounting for projects within the assigned area, ensuring accurate cost reporting to support decision-making. You'll provide technical leadership, oversee cost control systems, and guide staff toward high-quality cost deliverables. The position sits in a hybrid setup at Rock Hill and reports to the APX Director. You'll shape cost management processes and align them with organizational goals, tackling operational and financial challenges with impact.

Responsibilities- Lead cost management and cost accounting activities for programs in the assigned area
- Direct the implementation of cost accounting methods, systems, and control processes
- Oversee cost control systems to ensure accurate cost tracking and analysis
- Manage cost audits and address findings with corrective actions
- Prepare cost accounting and financial reports for senior/executive management
- Provide leadership to professional staff and technical teams
- Offer technical guidance to improve the quality of cost deliverables
- Develop and refine processes to support functional cost management strategies
- Apply cost management expertise to resolve operational, technical, customer, or employee issues
- Interpret business conditions and adjust priorities accordingly
- Manage the budget for the assigned area and allocate resources
- Develop operational plans and coordinate resources for short- and mid-term goals
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related discipline
- 7 years of relevant management or supervisory experience including financial accountability
