Overview In this role you will lead a global cross-functional team to develop and execute a cohesive category strategy for battery cells and packs. You will shape the supply base to meet changing category requirements and steer supplier negotiations within a strategic framework. You will manage supplier relationships, drive cost and quality improvements, and ensure supply continuity. Responsibilities- Develop and execute a global category strategy for battery cells and battery packs
- Lead supplier negotiations and manage NDA and supplier agreements
- Oversee supplier relationships, performance, capability, capacity, contracting, risk, cost and quality improvements
- Identify cost savings through negotiations, alternative sourcing, and event-driven activities
- Maintain a Preferred Manufacturer List and monitor market conditions to ensure supply continuity
- Lead the Strategic Component Team (SCT) to drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier footprints and design manufacturability
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Product management or technical experience in Hardware/Software Product Development
- Excellent contract negotiations skills and understanding of key commercial terms and conditions
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with exposure to executive levels
- Self-motivated team player with integrity and leadership capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects
- Direct experience managing Battery Cell and/or Battery Pack Procurement (preferred)
