Overview In this role you will support on-site construction leadership to keep projects on budget and schedule while ensuring design compliance. You will work within a cross-functional team to coordinate contractors, engineers, and architects, and help manage project controls and closeout. The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and turnover to owners. This is a hands-on role at a leading PMCM and real estate development firm with a strong track record in public and private sector projects. Responsibilities- Provide on-site assistant construction management support
- Assist in monitoring budget, schedule, and design compliance
- Coordinate activities of contractors, engineers, architects, and related teams
- Support project controls, cost, schedule, and performance tracking
- Lead project meetings and document actions, minutes, and status
- Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to contractual requirements
- Support project logistics, organization, and site safety
- Assist in project closeout and turnover activities
Key requirements- 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Construction Manager
- Experience with public projects in California
- Knowledge of project controls/scheduling, documentation, and construction principles
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with project-related construction management systems (preferred)
