Overview

As VP, Compliance at Blackstone, you will advise on marketing and investor communications to ensure regulatory alignment across products. You will review materials, supervise review work, and manage relationships across L&C with designated lines of business. You will develop policies, procedures, and trainings on marketing and fundraising regulations, and assess regulatory risk through research and cross functional collaboration. You will contribute to driving Blackstone's global regulatory compliance model and support global teams and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Review marketing materials, due diligence responses, investor communications, and fundraising materials for regulatory compliance
  • Manage and train staff conducting marketing compliance reviews
  • Maintain L&C relationship with lines of business and products
  • Attend client meetings to discuss products and address questions
  • Advise on legal and compliance requests from existing investors
  • Develop internal policies and procedures for marketing and related compliance
  • Create educational materials and trainings on marketing and fundraising regulations
  • Assess regulatory risk through industry research and external interaction
  • Support development of cross functional compliance policies and procedures across regions
  • Contribute to a global regulatory compliance model and cross regional initiatives
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in law firms or investment management firms
  • J.D. required
  • Understanding of Advisers Act and FINRA regulations preferred
  • Knowledge of hedge funds and drawdown funds is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills managing teams and conflicting demands
  • Ability to translate complex compliance issues into actionable work plans
  • Excellent oral and written communication; confident and effective
