Overview As a Senior Architect, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver complex Aerospace & Industrial facilities, including cleanrooms, secure spaces, and high-bay manufacturing sites. You'll guide projects from programming through construction, balancing mission needs, safety, security, and schedule. You translate client processes and regulatory requirements into integrated architectural solutions for new builds, renovations, and expansions. This role offers impact through shaping critical facilities and working across disciplines to achieve high-quality, compliant outcomes. You will engage with clients and partners to drive design excellence and project success.
Responsibilities- Lead architectural design from programming to construction for Aerospace & Industrial projects
- Develop and review drawings, specs, and design criteria for cleanrooms, secure spaces, and production facilities
- Translate processes, layouts, flows, and security requirements into coordinated design solutions
- Plan complex adjacencies and workflows addressing maintainability, access, and safety
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, security, and other disciplines
- Contribute to scope, schedule, budget, staffing, procurement, and phasing decisions
- Perform QA/QC reviews of documents to ensure compliance and coordination
- Lead construction administration activities including submittals, RFIs, field observations, and site coordination
- Lead field surveys in active environments while adhering to safety and contamination-control requirements
- Present design concepts and recommendations to clients and authorities having jurisdiction
- Develop client relationships and support business development and key pursuits
- Oversee development of cost proposals and qualification statements
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical direction to the architectural practice
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC and safety policies across teams and projects
- Comply with company and site policies and procedures
Key requirements- Bachelor in Architecture (NAAB-accredited) with relevant experience
- 8+ years of architectural experience; master's degree preferred
- Registered Architect preferred or able to obtain registration
- Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, life-safety, and envelope design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a problem-solving environment
- Expert BIM and design software skills (Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D rendering) and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience leading design teams on large, complex projects and coordinating multidisciplinary groups
- Experience with construction-phase activities and site visits
