Overview In this MEP Manager role, you define the MEP execution process and lead all MEP staff on a single large construction project. You will sit on-site, coordinating with the owner, design team, and subcontractors to drive safe, on-time delivery. You'll steer BIM-based coordination, quality plans, and commissioning, ensuring alignment with project goals. The position offers leadership development through Gilbane University and the chance to shape complex MEP solutions for schools, labs, hospitals, and offices.

Responsibilities- Approve all MEP and Commissioning schedules
- Assist with GMP preparation
- Supervise MEP subcontracting strategies and originate Scopes of Work for MEP bid packages
- Negotiate pricing and change orders with contractors and equipment manufacturers
- Perform MEP constructability (IDC+) and coordination reviews of contract documents
- Provide guidance and approves the MEP Contractors schedule of values
- Define best approach for MEP buyout
- Ensure timely and proper execution of the MEP Coordination Process (BIM)
- Create a project specific MEP quality plan and verify its proper execution
- Perform site inspections for MEP compliance and manage third party inspection
- Establish controls to identify and correct negative trends affecting commissioning
- Communicate with owner/owner's representative to ensure expectations and satisfaction
- Train direct reports on processes and completion of daily tasks
- Manage workload and performance of direct reports
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports
- Collaborate with business development to align sales strategies and client deliverables
Key requirements- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 10-15 years of related experience
- OSHA 30 hour certified
- Strong scheduling skills with proficiency in scheduling software
- Strong risk management skills
