Overview In this role you will own end-to-end contracting and compliance support for Tenstorrent, partnering with teams across the organization to enable rapid, risk-aware business execution. You will build templates, playbooks, and CLM workflows to scale legal operations for a fast-paced hardware and AI company. You will advise on complex agreements, data privacy, and cross-border issues, while serving as a trusted internal advisor to leadership and multiple functions. This is a hands-on, hybrid/remote role with impact across commercial, data protection, and manufacturing agreements, supporting the company's open-hardware AI platform mission.

Responsibilities- Own the full contract lifecycle: intake, drafting, negotiation, execution, and ongoing management
- Negotiate and structure high-value commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, licenses, SaaS, NDAs, DPAs, AI addenda, hardware/channel agreements)
- Develop templates, playbooks, and CLM workflows to enable scalable legal operations
- Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, cross-border transfers, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Leadership, Engineering, Product, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Security, IT, and Operations
- Manage risks and provide practical legal guidance to minimize exposure while enabling business growth
- Support supply chain and manufacturing agreements including foundry, procurement, logistics, and 3PL arrangements
- Assist with compliance programs and policy development aligned with company growth
- Navigate export controls and other regulatory considerations affecting technology transfer
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels and pivot priorities in a startup environment
Key requirements- JD and active state bar membership
- 5+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house role
- Experience in technology, semiconductor, hardware, or supplier environments preferred
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements across the full lifecycle
- Experience with supply chain and manufacturing agreements
- Data privacy and security advisory experience (GDPR, CCPA, APPI) and cross-border transfers
