Responsibilities- Determine specimen acceptability for testing per established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care
- Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed
- Assist with specimen processing when required
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification
