Overview In this role you lead underground and surface construction activities at Fourmile, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible execution. You will guide multiple crews, drive long-range planning and budget performance, and partner with senior operations to deliver major projects on schedule. You'll report to the Mine Manager and shape safety, risk, and performance through field leadership. This is a hands-on, impact-focused leadership opportunity within a values-driven mining company.
Responsibilities- Provide visible leadership across surface and underground operations and coach supervisors
- Drive accountability through performance evaluation and risk assessment (FLRA and TRA)
- Oversee safety and environmental performance, hazard reviews, and corrective actions
- Own end-to-end construction plan, priorities, sequencing, and resource allocation
- Lead quality investigations (injury, near-miss, environmental) with corrective actions
- Direct execution of scheduled and break-in work; drive continuous improvement
- Develop and grow the team through performance reviews and succession planning
- Champion continuous improvement and plant changes via the MOC system
- Align daily construction and weekly schedule with stakeholders and secure commitment
- Promote EMS/Safety/Health programs and RIMs-based leadership
Key requirements- 10+ years in underground mining construction
- Minimum 5 years in leadership: supervising crews/superintendents
- Direct experience in an Underground environment
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contractors on major underground projects
- Strong knowledge of incident investigation, MOC, and safety/environmental management systems (preferred)
