Design and Construction Project Manager

Overview

In this role you drive the planning and execution of casino construction projects, ensuring budgets, schedules, and quality align with Station Casinos' standards. You act as the Owner's representative, coordinating with architects, contractors, and operations to deliver on time and within budget. You'll lead OAC meetings, evaluate design and construction issues, and uphold ethical conduct and the company culture. This position offers meaningful impact through rigorous governance of cost, schedule, and quality in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and monitor construction estimates and budgets including design, construction, FF&E, and soft costs
  • Review and evaluate third-party budgets
  • Prepare and monitor construction schedules from conceptual bar-chart to CPM
  • Evaluate CPM schedules, field progress, and manage third parties to meet schedule goals
  • Lead Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings as Owner's representative
  • Prepare and manage RFPs and contracts for architects, consultants, contractors, and third parties; manage change orders
  • Review plans and specs for constructability and compliance with schedules and budgets
  • Prepare RPCs and CERs; track and monitor project change requests
  • Monitor quality control and corporate standards in construction operations
  • Prepare project Monthly Reports, including Commitment, Schedule/Milestone, RPC logs, and cash flow
  • Review and approve General Contractor progress and final pay applications
  • Review as-built documents to ensure accuracy of plans and specifications
Key requirements
  • BS/BA in Construction Management or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum five years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management
  • Knowledge of industry practices, systems, processes and activities
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Prolog or Expedition
  • Scheduling software proficiency with SureTrak or Primavera Project Planner
  • Experience working with Las Vegas architects, designers, and contractors
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
