Overview In this role you lead the site quality program to ensure all work complies with project specs, codes, and standards. You manage the QA/QC team on site and implement the Quality Management System to support project delivery. You act as the primary quality contact and collaborate with client, management, engineering, and subcontractors to drive continuous improvement. The position combines technical oversight with leadership in a fast-paced, multi-discipline construction environment.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor the QA/QC team of inspectors, supervisors, and technicians
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project QMS and related policies
- Oversee on-site inspections across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation trades
- Manage document control: submittals, RFIs, and technical documents
- Lead NCR identification, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Coordinate quality-related meetings and maintain interface with client and subcontractors
- Ensure safe, compliant delivery of quality activities on site and support HSE objectives
- Prepare and submit regular quality reports and manage handover documentation
Key requirements- 10+ years of QA/QC experience in construction/engineering/manufacturing
- At least 5 years in a management or supervisory role
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., ASQ CQM, AWS I Inspector, NACE)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management principles
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office
