Overview

In this role you will oversee construction management and the commercial performance of PG&E infrastructure projects in Central California. You will coordinate with the client, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals across inception, planning, design, construction, and closeout. You'll translate client objectives and contract terms into actionable plans while guiding teams toward safe, on-schedule delivery. This position offers growth in a collaborative, client-focused environment and exposure to high-visibility programs that shape critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Act as Parsons' representative with the client, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders during project execution
  • Represent the client in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings, as required
  • Oversee development and implementation of project documents (Construction Management Plan, Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan, QA/QC Plan)
  • Supervise inspection staff and field inspection activities
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and procure field office items
  • Establish procedures for administration of field vehicles and equipment, including maintenance logs
  • Supervise subcontractor work to ensure compliance with contracts, schedule, safety, and quality
  • Coordinate preparation of requisitions, scopes of work, amendments, and task orders
  • Review and approve subcontractor safety and QA/QC plans
  • Ensure subcontract files have current insurance and documentation
  • Monitor subcontractor expenses and draft amendments for overruns
  • Prepare and negotiate scope changes with client and subcontractors
  • Develop action plans for cost overruns, schedule delays, and scope changes with reporting to management
  • Maintain change orders and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supervise monthly construction progress and contract status reporting
  • Prepare WBS, budgets, and forecasts
  • Prepare monthly safety self-assessments
  • Oversee subcontractor invoices and monthly Parsons invoices, ensuring accuracy
  • Prepare quarterly construction management reports and coordinate meetings
  • Establish and manage QA/QC Plan, including inspection/test plans
  • Supervise setup and accreditation of onsite materials testing laboratory as needed
  • Establish project safety and emergency response procedures
  • Conduct weekly site inspections with contractor safety representation to ensure safety compliance
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field or equivalent construction experience
  • Typically 15+ years of field construction experience
  • Experience in large civil/structural and/or industrial projects
  • Experience overseeing major capital improvement projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction management practices, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and contract administration
  • Experience managing subcontractors, change orders, procurement, and field operations
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, QA/QC procedures, and construction inspection practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
