Overview As a Product Design Architect, you will translate industrial design intent into production-ready Class-A surfaces using NX/Alias. You will collaborate across design, UX, engineering and manufacturing to deliver high-quality CAD models that scale to mass production. You'll craft accurate 3D surfaces for concepts, prototypes and visualizations while shaping materials and manufacturing processes. This role blends independent work with cross-functional partnership to push the boundaries of consumer devices at Google.

Responsibilities- Capture and maintain industrial design intent using NX/Alias to produce production-ready CAD models
- Collaborate with Industrial Design, UX, Engineering, Manufacturing and external teams to meet requirements
- Create high-quality 3D surfaces for concepts, prototypes, evaluations and visualizations
- Work independently and cross-functionally throughout development and build
- Assess manufacturing viability and ensure design goals are preserved during travel to facilities as needed
- Apply knowledge of materials, processes, and emerging technologies to inform product development
- Identify future tools and processes to enhance capabilities and support growth
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 6 years of experience in consumer product design, including consumer electronics
- Experience with 3D surfacing using NX/Alias
- Experience designing and shipping consumer products
- Portfolio or equivalent work link available
